ABOUT US
Helsingbutt aims to convert Helsingborg into a cigarette butt-free city with all the residents and international visitors' help. We want to clean the streets from cigarette litter, enhance awareness of cigarette butts' negative impact, and maintain Helsingborg's cleanliness over time. Several clean-ups will be organised between April and June, and a sculpture will be created with the collected cigarette litter. The number of cigarette butts will be estimated and informed to citizens to have a clear picture of the problem's magnitude. THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO HELP
Volunteer with us
CLEAN-UPS
April-June
You can join us for one or multiple clean-ups. We will have a weekly clean-up every Saturday during eight weeks. Every clean-up will consist of 25 participants and two leaders. With all the tools and instructions clean-ups will last from two to four hours. We will be taking into account COVID-19 measures, providing volunteers with masks and gloves while practising social distancing on the site.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
April-July
If you have extra space in your garage or have a car, you can be one of our volunteers to help us with storage or transportation or hopefully both. Don't worry! All cigarette butts that will be collected in every clean-up will be kept adequately in durable and high-quality containers to avoid any accidents and ensure their maintenance before we create the sculpture.
